SUMMARY:Polish organist Agnieszka Rybak-Piotrowska Recital
DESCRIPTION:Polish organist Agnieszka Rybak-Piotrowska will be giving a solo organ recital in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square on Tuesday\, August 13 at 7:30 p.m.  Her program is titled\, “A God of Miracles: The Miracle on the Vistula\,” and will tie in to the Polish national holiday of August 15\, during which the Polish people celebrate their country’s 1920 victory over Soviet-Russia during the Polish-Soviet War. \nAgnieszka Rybak-Piotrowska graduated from the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw studying the organ under Professor Joachim Grubich.  She perfected her skills taking further organ courses in Warsaw\, Katowice\, Kamienie Pomorskie\, Krzeszów\, Soro (Denmark)\, Alpe d’Huez (France). She teaches at the Institute for Training Organists in Warsaw performing several recitals and concerts.  She performed over 150 concerts in Poland and abroad (USA\, Italy\, Germany\, Russia\, and Belarus).  Her professional credentials include recordings on CD and DVD (playing on the organ in the Warsaw Arch-Cathedral)\, as well as the enthusiastically heard and viewed Suite of the Warsaw Uprising 1944.  During the Year of Chopin she performed two grand organ concerts in Chicago for the Senate of the Republic of Poland.  She has served as a judge for several church choir competitions.  She collaborates with several soloists\, choirs\, and orchestras.  In 2016 she was distinguished by Cardinal Casimir Nycz receiving the medal “For meritorious contributions to the archdiocese of Warsaw.”
