DESCRIPTION:James Welch’s Halloween concert\, originally announced for Friday\, October 29\, at the Utah State Hospital Chapel\, has been rescheduled for Thursday\, October 28\, 7:30 p.m.\, at the Hillside Chapel\, 1960 North 1500 East\, Provo. (The State Hospital had to cancel all outside events due to Covid precautions.) \nWelch’s program will consist of pieces from the medieval to the modern. Of course there will be Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor\, but also works by Dunstable\, Purvis\, Bonnet\, Clokey\, Anderson\, and Boëllmann. \nJoining the program will be pianist Robin Hancock\, who\, together with James Welch\, will perform Clifford Demarest’s “Fantasie for Piano and Organ” and a duo arrangement of Victor Herbert’s “March of the Toys.” \nCome enjoy some light-hearted music for the season! \nView the entire program HERE. \nNOTE: \nDear Friends\, \nI’m happy to report that the concert this Thursday\, October 28\, at 7:30 p.m. MST\, will be live-streamed at the following link\, which will be available on the day of the concert:   https://tinyurl.com/jameswelchorganist.
