DESCRIPTION:A special invitation from Gabriele Terrone\, organist and assistant music director at the Cathedral of the Madeleine… \nDear AGO Friends\, \nThe third annual “Brass and Organ Christmas Concert” will be held at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in just a few days\, on Sunday\, December 12\, at 8:00 PM. \nAfter last year’s concert with “reduced” forces\, I am very excited to perform with the entire brass section of the Utah Symphony. The program will feature works for different ensembles\, including a massive Renaissance quadruple choir work; Rimsky-Korsakov’s energetic Christmas Eve Polonaise; and several traditional Christmas tunes from around the world. The traditional hymn “O Come O Come Emmanuel” will conclude the program\, involving the audience in the sing along of this beloved Advent tune.
