Concert at Oak Hills Stake Center – James Welch with Brigham Child and Hannah Gouff
On Friday, May 14, at 7:30, James Welch will present a concert on the Schantz organ at the Oak Hills Stake Center, 925 E. North Temple Drive, Provo. The program will include works by French, German, American, Canadian, and Portuguese composers. Of special interest will be the “Toccata parisienne,” composed by Rulon Christiansen for Welch’s recital at Notre Dame Cathedral in 2015. Come Hear the Carillon Bells at BYU
On Sunday, June 13, at 2 p.m., James Welch will play an informal concert on the carillon bells on BYU campus in Provo. The program will include arrangements of familiar hymns, folk tunes, and patriotic songs. The program will last about 45 minutes. The concert will not be live-streamed. “Phantom of the Pipes” – Rescheduled
James Welch’s Halloween concert, originally announced for Friday, October 29, at the Utah State Hospital Chapel, has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 28, 7:30 p.m., at the Hillside Chapel, 1960 North 1500 East, Provo. (The State Hospital had to cancel all outside events due to Covid precautions.) Welch’s program will consist of pieces from the medieval to the modern.
