Utah Valley Pipe Organ Encounter
For Youth Ages 13-18
who have piano or organ proficiency ranging from intermediate to advanced.
No previous organ skills required.
Daily individual organ lessons
Group classes and workshops at Brigham Young University
Workshop and concert by internationally known organist Isabelle Demers
(Isabelle’s Concert will be Thursday, July 23. It will be free and open to the public!)
Stay at Timp Lodge up Provo Canyon (where it is cool!)
Early Bird Registration fee – $500 by April 1
Regular Registration fee – $575 by June 15

Applications for scholarship assistance are available through the registration portal. Scholarships are based on need and the application deadline is April 1.

A message to all UVAGO members from Dorothy Jensen, Utah Valley Pipe Organ Encounter Director:
We as the POE Committee and the officers of UVAGO, are excited to offer this Pipe Organ Encounter for young people ages 13-18 this summer, sponsored by our UVAGO chapter.
National AGO directs that the registration fees for a POE are to cover only the food and lodging for the participants. The other costs of this event are the responsibility of the sponsoring AGO chapter. That is US!
Fortunately a very generous anonymous donor is willing to match each donation we give, up to a total of $15,000. Please consider supporting this effort at whatever amount is comfortable for you, and it will be doubled!
Ten years ago, as a new organist, I was able to help with the POE that our chapter sponsored. It was an amazing experience for me. I learned so much about the organ in that one week, just being a chaperone and a driver! And it was so exciting to watch the young participants becoming so involved in the organ and all about it! One of the goals in our mission statement is to “nurture future generations of organists.” Let us all pull together to help this summer’s Pipe Organ Encounter successfully nurture these young people with an unforgettable experience on the organ that can propel them on their way to becoming the next generation of organists!

Zeffy does NOT require a donation to their site, even though there is a place for it. All of your donation goes to the Pipe Organ Encounter. If you want to give Zeffy a tip for their service you can, but it can be any amount you choose, not the amount they present.
