Holiday Repertoire Workshop

Holiday repertoire workshop, Friday, October 14, 2016, at 7:00 PM. Pleasant Grove East Stake Center. 825 Loader, Pleasant Grove.

Please join us for a workshop to share holiday organ repertoire. Members are encouraged to bring longtime favorite pieces, or something you’re just now learning for this year—Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year repertoire—to show to others so that we can all get new ideas and be inspired to try new repertoire. This may include, but is not limited to, ideas for preludes and postludes, organ solos, choir anthems with organ accompaniment, and hymn introductions, accompaniments, and re-harmonizations. In addition, some members of the board have prepared some ideas and arrangements to share.

If you have your own arrangements or re-harmonizations (in other words, music for which you own the copyright), we hope you will consider sharing something with us. If you do not own the copyright for music you would like to share, or if it is not in the public domain, we can simply show each other the sheet music and share the publication information, so that those who are interested can purchase their own copies of the music.

1)      From 1-15 take Pleasant Grove Blvd off ramp ( Exit 275 )
2)      Turn onto  Pleasant Grove Blvd going towards the mountains
3)      Go over freeway and proceed short distance to North County Rd/or W 700 N
4)      Turn right on W 700 N (there is a Large Central Bank on the cormer)
5)      Proceed several miles on W 700 N and cross state street which becomes 1000 S (Arctic Circle on the corner)
6)      Continue on 1000 S. This dead ends at Locust.
7)      Turn left on Locust and go about 1 block and turn right on 900 S
8)      Go up the hill less than a mile and turn left on Loader.
9)      Church is immediately on your right.

Note: For those taking State Street from Orem. Go through Lindon and then turn right on 1000 South (Arctic Circle on corner) , then continue as indicated on #6-#9 above.
