Mike Carson hails from Lehi, Utah, where he graduated from high school as a Sterling Scholar state finalist in music. At Brigham Young University he studied composition, theory, and piano performance and was principal cellist in the symphony orchestra. After college he enjoyed a 24-year career in the retail print music business. He is currently a front desk administrative assistant for the City of Cedar Hills.

Mike is a former dean of the Utah Valley chapter of the American Guild of Organists and has also served as Bonneville District Convener in the guild. He is an award-winning composer, arranger, and lyricist of sacred choral and organ music. Mike and his wife, Cheryl, live in Lindon, Utah. Together, they have a combined 11 children with 16 grandchildren.
