James Welch organ recital – Harmonies from Heaven: Organ Classics, with Symphonic and Operatic Gems
On Saturday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m., James Welch will present an organ recital at the Edgemont Stake Center, 303 W 3700 N, Provo, Utah (not Edgemont North or Edgemont South Stake). The program will feature some great organ classics (Bach’s Toccata in D minor, and Boellmann’s Toccata from the Gothic Suite), orchestral works (Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Mozart’s Symphony No. 39), operatic arias from Puccini’s Turandot and Wagner’s Rienzi, The Holy City, and even a Sousa march about an eclipse.…

James Welch: Conference Center Recital
On Saturday, June 1, at noon, James Welch will be giving a recital at the Conference Center, Temple Square, Salt Lake City. This will be a program of concert arrangements of well-known hymns, including “Amazing Grace,” “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” “Simple Gifts,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Count Your Blessings,” “Come, Come, Ye Saints,” and “Christ the Lord is Risen Today.”

BYU Organ Workshop
Registration for the 2024 BYU Organ Workshop is available through July 29th. Join the workshop in-person at the BYU Music Building or online on August 5-9, 2024. Online registration is only $100 and includes access to view the classes until September 1, 2024. Organ Fest XV will be taking place on Friday, August 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Eccles Organ Festival featuring Tyler Boehmer

BYU Concert Hall Dedicatory Recital with Daniel Cook
As part of the BYU BRAVO! Series, the Dedicatory Recital of the new Concert Hall organ will feature Durham Cathedral (UK) organist Daniel Cook. Cook’s “peerless” musicianship (Gramophone) and artfully selected repertoire will highlight the unique features and colors of the 4-manual, 81-rank organ.
